Statements by the Chief Returning Officer to Media Representatives and entrance to the Filoxenia Conference Centre on 26 May 2019
PIO PRESS CENTRE
The Press and Information Office will operate as Press Centre and Office of the Chief Returning Officer from 6:30 a.m. onwards, and PIO Press officers will be at the disposal of press representatives for any clarifications or assistance at the following telephone numbers: 99491656, 22801197, 22801113, 22801224, 22801220.
STATEMENTS BY THE CHIEF RETURNING OFFICER
The Chief Returning Officer, Mr Kypros Kyprianou, will be informing media representatives on the voting procedure, from the Press Centre of the Press and Information Office (PIO) at approximately:
• 7:00 a.m.
• 10:15 a.m.
• 12:15 p.m.
• 1:15 p.m.
• 3:15 p.m.
• 5:15 p.m.
• 6:00 p.m.
• Final results announcement
The Chief Returning Officer’s announcement on the final results and the proclamation of the newly-elected MEPs will be made at the Filoxenia Conference Centre, around midnight.
PROCLAIMATION OF THE NEWLY-ELECTED MEPs – ENTRY TO THE FILOXENIA CONFERENCE CENTRE
Entry to the Filoxenia Conference Centre on the election evening of 26 May for the proclamation of the newly-elected MEPs will be granted only to accredited media representatives, who are holders of the special accreditation badge issued by the PIO.
At the Filoxenia Conference Centre there will be security check and therefore, media representatives are requested to bear the special accreditation badge and ID or press card.
Media representatives are requested to attend the Filoxenia Conference Center between 10 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. During that time, access will be allowed also to the public.
